Apparently the UK govmnt is considering making ISPs responsible for tracking illegal P2P file sharing and reporting this data to The Man. Get caught doing it 3 times and you are banned from having internet access.
Insanity, I say. First off, how are the ISPs supposed to differentiate between a Kylie song and my own composition. Some audio fingerprinting? Ha. With *all* traffic? LOL.
Also, we have encryption and we know how to use it (or ppl will learn). Crazy waste of taxpayers money, no?
